Anodic oxidation of various arylene–cyanovinylenes made from alternating mono- or dimethoxybenzene and thienyl or phenyl units

Anodic oxidation of various arylenevinylenes formed from alternating units of mono- or dimethoxybenzene with thienyl or phenyl units substituted by a cyano group at the ethylene linkage leads to the formation of the respective polymers. The present study incorporates the comprehensive physico- and electrochemical studies of these novel materials.
