The influence of the structure of dicarboxylic anions on the stability range of the reconstructed Au(100) and Au(111) surfaces

The impact of dicarboxylic anions on the stability of the reconstructed Au(100) and Au(111) surfaces was investigated. The stability range of the reconstructed surface was determined by cyclic voltammetry. The results obtained were ascribed to the different geometric and electronic structure of the adsorbed anions.
