Mathematical proof of the consistency of Feldbergʹs simple BDF start in electrochemical digital simulation

The simple method used by Feldberg and coworkers to start a simulation using the BDF algorithm, coupled with a time correction, has often been observed to be highly accurate. This paper presents a mathematical proof of its consistency.
