Abstract :
A method of analysis for the determination of the electrochemical parameters in the case of a quasi-reversible electron transfer process followed by a homogeneous chemical reaction (ECirrev) is reported. It is based on methods of convolution electrochemistry and can be applied to chronoamperometric curves. Digital simulation studies are also frequently performed to confirm the results. A procedure for calculation of the values of kc and E1/2 is reported. As an experimental example, the electrooxidation of ferrocene-N-phenylaza-15-crown-5 at a glassy carbon electrode in 0.1 M TBAP as supporting electrolyte in acetonitrile was examined.
