Abstract
Rotating disk electrode study with bioelectrode, containing Prussian blue (inner), and glucose oxidase (outer) layers, has been performed. Two simplified approaches have been used for analysis of the data obtained. First, the data has been treated according to Michaelis–Menten scheme, and the values of maximum current density and Michaelis constants for any particular electrode rotation speed have been calculated. These data have been treated according to Koutecky–Levich equation, and the values of a maximum kinetic current density and KM were obtained. Alternatively, same data have been first treated within the frame of theory of rotating disk electrode, and the kinetic currents thus obtained have been handled according to Michaelis–Menten scheme, yielding again the values of maximum kinetic currents and KM. The results obtained have been compared and discussed.
