Abstract
In the present study, the electrochemical sensor was designed by the modification of the fourth generation poly(amido amine) (PAMAM) dendrimer onto the surface of pencil graphite electrode (G4-PDR/PGE) and this single-use dendrimer modified electrode was then examined for advanced nucleic acid detection by using electrochemical techniques. After the covalent immobilization of G4-PDR onto the surface of carboxylated PGE surface, the surface characterization of dendrimer modified PGE was investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and also, different electrochemical techniques; cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The voltammetric monitoring of a sequence-selective DNA hybridization related to Hepatitis B virus (HBV) sequences was accordingly performed in the presence of the complementary of probe (target), and also the mixture medium containing target:non-complementary (NC) sequences (1:1).
