Abstract :
A mesh regularization technique is developed in a numerical simulation of an austenitic–martensitic phase transition in which the mesh transformation method is applied to compute the martensitic transformation, the needle-like microstructures near the austenite-finely twinned martensite interface and the propagation of the austenite-finely twinned martensite interface. The numerical examples are given to show that the mesh transformation method equipped with the mesh regularization technique well simulates the development of twinned martensitic microstructures and the propagation of the austenite-finely twinned martensite interface.
