Incoherent scattering of 241[Am] gamma photons

The total incoherent scattering differential cross-sections of Ti, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pd, Cd and Ba have been experimentally investigated for 59.54 keV gamma photons in the angular range 30–140° using an improved method. The background correction and detection efficiency are also included in the study. The measured cross-sections have been compared with those estimated on the basis of the non-relativistic Hartree–Fock wave functions.
