Abstract :
A mesomechanical model, simulating the development of plastic deformation localization in a polycrystal composite with coarse absolutely hard inclusions is represented. Analysis of the obtained data shows, that inclusions play the role of stress mesoconcentrators, defining the beginning of grain involvement into plastic deformation and formation of mesobands of localized deformation, being oriented at an angle of 60° with respect to the tensile axis. Plastic deformation localization is prevented by limitation of sliding systems and work hardening in crystallites.
