Abstract :
An excellent agreement was found in the study of chemical composition of grain boundaries in an ordered polycrystalline Fe-rich Fe3Si base alloy by Auger electron spectroscopy and by Mِssbauer spectroscopy. In addition, the temperature dependence of grain boundary segregation fits very well with the prediction according to a recently proposed model of interfacial segregation in ordered alloys. Obtained agreement proves the plausibility of this model.
