Abstract
In order to establish flow stress relationship for metals and alloys in a form that can be used in numerical simulations. A method to predict flow stress considering dynamic recrystallization (DRX) during hot deformation is presented in this paper. Flow stress model is expressed by 9 independent parameters and they are obtained by least-square method. The flow stress constitutive equations of magnesium alloy AZ31B and 42CrMo steel during hot deformation were developed by the proposed method. The predicted stress–strain curves are in good agreement with experimental results, which confirmed that the developed models are accurate and the proposed method is effective to establish flow stress equations of metals and alloys during hot deformation.
