Abstract :
Superscatterer is a novel device which can mimic the presence of a larger object with given size and it has potential application for camouflage against electromagnetic radiation. Based on transformation optical approach, material parameters for two-dimensional (2D) metamaterial-assisted electromagnetic superscatterer with arbitrary geometries are derived and validated by numerical simulation. These transformations can also be specialized to the design of N-sided regular polygonal superscatterer just by changing the contour equation. All theoretical and numerical results validate the material parameters for the 2D electromagnetic superscatterer we develop.
