Abstract :
In order to account for the influence of the crystallographic orientation on the mechanical behavior of fcc crystals, a constitutive hardening law is proposed which contains anisotropic terms for storage and annihilation of dislocations. By contrast with previous proposals, both kinetics depend on the geometry of active slip systems. It is shown that it can reproduce the orientation dependence of the critical annihilation distance in tension of fcc crystals as well as the hardening evolution within different crystalline orientations during rolling.
