  • Abstract
Residence time distribution (RTD) studies were conducted using pulse input of tracer to determine the flow pattern in annular circulating fluidised bed drier (ACFBD). Mixed flow behavior was inferred from RTD studies. The flow pattern of solid particles is represented by one-dimensional tanks in series and dispersion model. The number of ideal mixing vessel connected in series is found to be between 1.5 and 2.7.
