Abstract :
The influence of the spin–orbit (SO) coupling on the far infrared response of quantum dots is investigated as a function of the intensity of the coupling, the applied magnetic field and the dot deformation. Analytical results are obtained in the limit of weak magnetic field and SO coupling intensity. Interaction effects are numerically studied within the time-dependent local-spin-density theory using a two-component spinorial formalism.
