Abstract :
The total synthesis of (−)-(8R, 10S)- and (+)-(8S, 10R)-8-hydroxypolypoda-13,17,21-triene (1) was achieved based on the kinetic resolution of (±)-epoxy-albicanol (3) using lipase. The absolute structure of natural product (1) was synthetically again confirmed to be (5S, 8R, 9R, 10S)-8-hydroxypolypoda-13,17,21-triene.
