Abstract
In this research study, the potential of powdered F400 carbon and bentonite for phenol adsorption from aqueous solutions was studied. The equilibrium adsorption results for the two materials can be successfully modelled by the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin, isotherms.
ginate and alginate–bentonite beads were prepared and analyzed with the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The SEM photographs show a smooth surface with a compact structure, and give a negative result for the adsorption of phenol.
sorption of phenol on bentonite was investigated and optimized using full experimental design methodology.
