Abstract
Sol–gel method has been used for the preparation of titanium and titanium/manganese oxide systems. Xerogels dried at 80°C and post-treated at 560°C for 1 h were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Good and uniform coatings were obtained from the peptized solutions by dipping and were optically characterized.
