Abstract :
The lithium vanadate LixV2O5 (x=0.6–1.6) has been synthesized by solid state reaction method. The electrical studies are carried out on gold-coated samples. The transport properties, such as hopping frequency (ωp), effective attempt frequency (ωe) and energy for migration (Em), have been calculated using the Almond and West formalisms. The bulk conductivity (σb), which is in the order of 10−6 Ω−1 cm−1, has been obtained for all the samples from complex impedance plots. The modulus spectrum of the samples shows the non-Debye behavior of the lithium vanadate. The low-frequency dispersion of the dielectric constant implies the space charge effects arising from the electrodes.
