Abstract :
Two topics relating to banded polymer spherulites are discussed thoroughly and brought up to date. They are: (a) origins of secondary effects of rhythmic character in thin films and (b) generation of isochiral dislocations and torsions in twisted lamellae. Physical principles of broad applicability are also emphasized.
