Abstract :
An intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell based on perovskite-type materials was tested. La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O2.85 (LSGM) was used as electrolyte, Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3−δ (BSCF) as cathode and La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.5O3−δ (LSCM) as anode material. The maximum power density value of the BSCF/LSGM/LSCM cell with 1.5 mm thick electrolyte was 160 mW cm− 2 at 1073 K, using moistened H2 diluted with N2 as fuel and air as oxidant.
