On the Calculation of Cascade Automatic Control Systems

An iterative method for calculating cascade automatic control systems is proposed in which the settings of the main and the auxiliary controllers are found in every step. This method provides for convergence of the procedure to the optimum. The method can be used for any ratio of the inertia to the time lag in the main aand auxiliary sections of the plant. How the nature of disturbances distributed along the plant influences the structure of these systems is studied.
