Environmental Problems of Industrial-Heating Boilers Operating on Natural Gas

An analysis is made of the situation that arose in Russia in connection with the approval of Standard COST R 50591-93 "Industrial Gas Burners: Limiting Norms of Concentrations of NOx in the Combustion Products." It is shown that, in industrial boilers, recirculation of the fiue gases through burners and also feeding of the air through specially installed nozzles considerably reduce the NOx content in the flue gases. Here, the nature of the dependence of the NOx concentration on recirculation of the flue gases is similar to such a dependence for power boilers.
