The effect of a current pulse on the fatigue of titanium alloy

The fatigue resistance of titanium alloy increases under the influence of a strong current pulse. Surface residual stresses, as well as the electric resistance of specimens, decrease. An ‘aiming healing’ crystal lattice defects is supposed to be the cause of the properties improvement.
