Abstract :
Adsorptive micellar flocculation (AMF) is a surfactant-based separation process consisting in the capture of organic anionic pollutants by large flocs forming due to coagulation of micelles of the anionic surfactants SDS and AOS. The capture makes the pollutant susceptible of removal with the flocs by coarse filtration. This paper discusses the mechanism governing the partition of the pollutant between the solution and the floc.
