Abstract :
A deperturbation analysis is made for the 0-0 band of the AlO(C2Πr − X2Σ+) transition measured by Singh and Saksena [Can. J. Phys. 61 (1983) 1347]. The states perturbing the C2Πr, ν = 0 level are assigned to 4Σ+ and 2Σ−. The molecular constants for the C2Πr, ν = 0 state and the perturbing levels are determined by a deperturbation analysis. The vibrational quantum numbers of the perturbing 4Σ+ and 2Σ− level are estimated to be 4 and 0, respectively.
