Abstract :
The Fourier transform spectrum of the ν2 band around 676 cm−1 of isotopically pure CH35Cl3 has been measured. The experimental resolution was near 0.0010 cm−1. In this parallel band more than 3000 rotational lines, with Jmax = 100 and Kmax = 56, were assigned. In the analysis a model for an unperturbed symmetric top band was applied. The fit of 2852 lines, with a standard deviation of 0.17 × 10−3 cm−1, led, among others, to the following results: ν0 = 676.643310(9) cm−1, B2 − B0 = −0.493903(6) × 10−3 cm−1 and C2 − C0 = −0.109899(22) × 10−3 cm−1.
