A large-scale ab initio study on the spectroscopy and dynamics of the A2Π-X2Σ+ system of NO2+

The results of a large scale ab initio study on the spectroscopy and dynamics of the A2Π-X2Σ+ system of NO2+ are presented. The twofold objectives are to provide an explanation as to why previous high-resolution spectroscopic studies on this system have failed, and to serve as a guide for future experimental investigations of this system.
