Abstract :
High-pressure-impedance spectroscopy is used to study the ion conductivity in amorphous polyelectrolytes below and around the glass transition temperature. We present results of the ionic conductivity depending on pressure up to 500 MPa in ionene I-6, 10-Me-X (X=Br− or BF4−) in the glassy and in the molten state. The conductivity decreases exponentially with increasing pressure below and above the glass temperature as σ=σDC,0 exp(−Ap). The results are discussed in the framework of the free volume model.
