Abstract
A fine dispersion of droplets is generated by deep quenches into the miscibility gap of a binary liquid mixture under reduced gravity conditions in space. Droplet formation driven by interfacial tension is found. Temperature gradients connected with thermal quenches lead to droplet motion caused by interfacial tension convection (Marangoni convection).
