Abstract
The radiative lifetime of the NO (b 4Σ−, ν′ = 4) state has been measured using the high frequency deflection technique. The result, 9.23 ± 0.90 μs, is in reasonable agreement with ab initio calculations but a factor of two larger than an earlier experimental determination.
