Abstract :
Of the 53 Raman active bands of A1, E2′, and E1″ symmetries, 25 are observed in resonance Raman spectra of C70 in benzene; excitation responses from 457.9 to 514.5 nm show that A-term, B-term, and probably D-term scattering mechanisms operate and assist in the assignment of the electronic spectrum.
