Abstract :
The rate coefficients between the ground-state oxygen atom, O(3P), with CFClCXY (X,Y=H,F,Cl) have been determined by employing the chemiluminescence (CL) imaging technique coupled with the discharge-flow method. Concentration profiles of O(3P) in the reaction tube were extracted from the two-dimensional NO2 CL images of the entire reaction zone monitored by a charge-coupled device camera. The rate coefficients at room temperature of O(3P) with CH2CH2, CFClCF2, CFClCH2, CFClCFCl, CFClCHCl, and CFClCCl2 have been determined to be (7.38±0.22), (5.04±0.14), (4.43±0.10), (2.67±0.07), (1.57±0.02), and (1.36±0.02)×10−13 cm3 molecule−1 s−1, respectively.
