Abstract :
Accurate 3D reactive scattering techniques are utilized to calculate the trace of the collision lifetime matrix for J = 0 H + O2 scattering at thermal energies. Twenty-four resonances that can contribute to HO2 recombination are reported, and most are assigned by solving an effective 1D Schrِdinger equation. The calculation of a recombination equilibrium constant is investigated, and non-resonant contributions are found to be important.
