Abstract
We derive and illustrate an extrapolation formula, suitable for monotonic data, which appears competitive with Aitkenʹs classic δ2 method. A brief error analysis is given which exemplifies the type of sequence for which the formula is most useful. The examples given include sequences of lower bounds to the eigenvalues of one-dimensional Schrödinger equations.
