Abstract :
A complete set of total and dissociative electron impact cross-sections of vibrationally excited O2 molecule, through the Schumann–Runge transition, have been calculated using the impact-parameter method. The results shows an intricate behaviour of cross-sections for both bound–bound, bound–continuum transitions as a function of initial vibrational quantum number.
