Molecular dynamics of an excess electron in aqueous solutions

We used the molecular dynamics with quantum transitions method to investigate the behavior of an excess electron injected into an excited state of an unperturbed classical bath of water molecules with a few ions. We studied the influence on the dynamics of the presence of additional artificially created trap sites. The non-adiabatic relaxation dynamics is contrasted to that observed in a pure water bath.
