Abstract :
A new one-dimensional mixing-frequency electron spin echo envelope modulation (1D MIF-ESEEM) spectroscopy has been developed. It is based on use of the ratio of the increments of two evolution periods as an experimentally meaningful parameter. By means of this method, the separations of peaks can be increased in a controlled manner. Therefore, overlapping ESEEM spectra can be untangled successfully. A single crystal of copper(II)-doped nickel(II) bis(N,N-di-n-butyl-dithiocarbamate) and a single crystal of γ-irradiated malonic acid were used to demonstrate this new spectroscopy.
