Abstract :
Time-resolved experiments and calculations are reported for the predissociation dynamics of the metastable vOH=2 vibrational state of H2–OH and D2–OH in their ground electronic states. Good agreement between theory and experiment is found for the absolute lifetimes of H2–OH and relative product state distributions for D2–OH. The excited vibrational state lifetimes are 10−9 and 10−6 s for the complexes containing D2 and H2, respectively.
