Abstract :
Molecular dynamics simulations of methane particles in salt (NaCl) water reveal a shift in the temperature dependence of the hydrophobic attraction towards higher temperatures. The temperature where maximum aggregation is observed in pure water is shifted from 335 to 350 K in salt water. The overall tendency for aggregation is larger in salt solution than in pure water.
