Abstract
Emission spectra of the O-O bands of the a1Δ→X3Σ− transitions of PH and PD have been observed in the near-infrared spectral region near 1.33 μm. The phosphorus hydride radicals were generated and excited in a fast-flow system by the reaction of phosphorus vapor with hydrogen or deuterium atoms. The NIR chemiluminescence was measured with a Fourier-transform spectrometer equipped with a Ge detector. Analysesof the bands have yielded spectroscopic constants of the a1Δ, v=0 state (in cm−1): PH: v00=7555.0779(8), B0=8.43993(8), D0=0.0004362(7); PD: v00=7551.8938(6), B0=4.37667(4), D0=0.0001170(2), where the numbers in parentheses are the standard deviations of the parameters.
