Abstract
The stability of the iron–hydrocarbon cluster Fe13(C2H2)6 is studied within a metallic-bond-type theory. The theoretical model for the cluster structure indicates a centered Fe13-icosahedron with C2H2-radicals arranged symmetrically on the icosahedron sides.
