13C CP/MAS NMR study of anti-HIV-1 agent AZT

13C CP/MAS NMR spectra of 3′-azido-3′-deoxythymidine (AZT) are interpreted in the light of the published X-ray diffraction structure. The interpretation provides for fast proton jumps in hydrogen bonds between the AZT molecules in dimers, and a slow puckering motion of the furanose rings.
