Abstract :
Consideration of the radiation from a rotating electric dipole leads to the inference that the existence of the recently suggested B(3) longitudinal magnetic field implies a real electric field which increases indefinitely as time elapses. This conclusion is obtained by integrating the magnetic flux around a closed path at the wave zone. The integration yields a non-zero result by virtue of the assumed existence of the B(3) longitudinal field. Thence using Stokeʹs theorem, Maxwellʹs equation ▽ × B = ϖEϖt completes the proof. Such an electric field is excluded in the theory of the B(3) field, and its increasing nature makes it physically unrealistic. Thus the existence of the B(3) longitudinal magnetic field is inconsistent with Maxwellʹs theory of electromagnetism.
