Observation of the exchange of small molecules between phases in a SDS micellar system

In an aqueous solution containing sodium docecylsulfonate, an exchange of benzene molecules between those inside and outside of the micelles was observed by two-dimensional NMR exchange spectroscopy. Exchange rates were evaluated by integrating the EXSY cross peaks.
