Abstract :
Total and differential scattering cross sections for the low-energy collisions of C60 fullerene with itself and with rare-gas atoms are theoretically estimated. As far as the magnitude of the total cross sections is concerned, a spherical potential approximation is accurate and demonstrates how experimental data could provide valuable information on the long-range interaction between the colliding species. Effects of the non-spherical terms of the interaction in the collision observables are also estimated.
