Abstract :
The melting temperature–pressure [Tm(P)–P] phase diagram for silicon with the diamond structure (Si-I) is predicted by Clapeyron equation where the pressure-dependent volume difference is modeled by introducing the effect of surface stress induced pressure. The result shows that the model prediction is consistent with the experimental results.
