Abstract :
Comparison of the energy distribution functions obtained by employing the improved regularisation method with those related to the exponential equation for the identical systems is presented. The analysed gas–solid adsorption data comprises two sets of adsorption systems: benzene on silica gel at 303 K, and cyclohexane on silica gel at 303 K. In terms of the liquid–solid data, the system: benzene (1)+cyclohexane (2) on silica gel, was analysed at 303 K. Application of the regularisation method allows for more realistic description of the heterogeneity effects for the adsorption systems studied.
