Abstract
The interaction between the mixture of sodium dodecyl benzyl sulfonate (SDBS)/hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and polymer has been studied by using a fluorescence method, pyrene as a probe. The polarity change of pyrene environment is accompanied with the change of the value of I1/I3, which indirectly reflects the relative position of the polymer and vesicle/micelle. A complex is formed between the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and SDBS micelle or SDBS rich vesicles due to the electric attraction. But the mechanism of the interaction is different since their sizes are quite different.
