Abstract
In this work, n-octyl-β-d-glucopyranoside (OG) micelles were charged in situ by borate buffer. The alteration of their structure was investigated by small angle neutron scattering. The scattering data were analyzed by the indirect Fourier transformation method and model fitting (cylindrical model). It was found that the size of charged OG micelles is reduced in comparison to non-charged micelles and the degree of the ionization of OG molecules is low. The dependence of micelle size on pD of the solvent was also observed.
